The elastic material of AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® TLG + Sylomer® acoustic mount is composed of two Sylomer® resilient material layers in different densities to suit different load applications.
The Sylomer® layers are encapsulated inside an aluminum housing, and the internal metal part in combination with the external housing preloads the Sylomer® layers. The aim of this preload is to minimize the deflection of the mount under the load, making it suitable for applications where stability is crucial.
The shape of the metal parts limits the ascending vertical movement when the acoustic mount is subject to tensile loads, assuring the structural integrity of the system.
Moreover, the anti-corrosive properties of the aluminium, in combination with the oil and water resistance of the Sylomer® polyurethane compound, make the TLG + Sylomer® acoustic mount suitable to be used in outdoor applications.
Sylomer® is a microcellular polyurethane material especially suitable for structural borne noise isolation.
Furthermore, as the noise must cross several different parts, each one with its own acoustic impedance, part of the energy is reflected in each material change border, as it is shown in the schematic below:
Higher the impedance difference in each border, higher the energy of the reflected waves and smaller the energy of the transmitted waves.
The main application for the TLG + Sylomer® acoustic mount is the isolation of structural borne noise on car park door frames, as the noise caused by the mechanism is isolated with very small deflections.
TLG + Sylomer acoustic mounts are installed with standard DIN 6316 clamps, as shown in the picture below:
The dimensions of the TLG + Sylomer® acoustic mount are detailed below:
The standard DIN 6316 clamps are included with the mount, and this product is available with different Sylomer® densities. The different models available and their elastic properties are shown below:
