These acoustic hangers are anti vibration mounts that have been designed for the suspension of ceilings. Their easy installation and low space requirement allow extraordinary vibration and noise isolation in wooden joists.

The AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® Akustik GB+ Sylomer® acoustic hangers are designed to withstand the load of 5 to 75Kg per hanger . They are connected laterally to a wooden joist, as shown on the drawing below.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

The Akustik GB +Sylomer® acoustic hangers are produced as standard in a range of different Sylomer® densities, this allows it to adapt to different applications and suit loads per hanger up to 75 Kg. The achieved natural frequency at their optimal loading point is below 8 Hz. These technical properties provide a high level of noise and vibration isolation, particularly within buildings with wooden structures.

As a general rule these mounts are typically installed every linear meter, but this feature may be tuned in order to adapt to the load or natural frequency requirement of the application.

Available with two options of metal fixing brackets to facilitate the assembly and adapt better to each type of installation, supplied with a high quality anticorrosive treatment they can withstand the toughest environments.

The graph below shows the elastical properties of our Akustik+Sylomer® GB acoustic hangers versus the traditional acoustic hanger used in Great Britain for this type of application, made of rubber.

With these graphs, it is clear that the results with the Akustik+Sylomer® GB acoustic hangers are far superior than the results obtained by the rubber mounts.

Lower natural frequencies are achieved throughout the loading range, this is due to the lower stiffness of Sylomer® when compared to its rubber alternatives.

The video below, which is available in our Youtube channel, shows the installation of these acoustic hangers using techniques that are very common in Great Britain. Although these mounts are primarily focused on this market they can also be used for other applications where there is a need for lateral suspension of ceilings.

In order to facilitate the installation of these anti vibration mounts, we have decided to add an option to view these instructions on the boxes of the delivered mounts. There is a QR Code that can be scanned allowing installers to scan it and see it on their mobile devices.
