Installation Instructions for Akustik+Sylomer® Channel Clip

A new video showing the installation steps of the Akustik+Sylomer® Channel Clip ceiling and wall support is now available.

Designed both with compactness and compatibility with the standard Furring Channel in mind, our Akustik+Sylomer® Channel Clip is now featured in a new video published by AMC-MECANOCAUCHO®, describing its installation procedure to assist installers.

Acoustic performance for ceilings and walls with space saving

The AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® Akustik+Sylomer® Channel Clip anti-vibration mounts provide suspended ceilings with natural frequencies as low as 8 Hz with as little as 15 kg load. This clip provides a cavity depth of less than 60mm, making it ideal for installations where maximizing the interior room space is essential. They can also be used in acoustic walls, where their low stiffness provides excellent acoustic insulation.

Their design allows fail-safe as well as easy installation thanks to their compatibility with the widely available standard “top hat” Furring Channel profile, which is simply pressed into place. Additionally, two more screws can be used for extra security.

Furthermore, the Channel Clips can be fastened under concrete slabs, wooden battens or to timber joists with a single central fixing. They are well suited for all types of building scenarios, an example of the installation layout is shown below, it is recommended that the clips are arranged in a diamond-like pattern.

They can even be fastened to L brackets which sit inside the timber joists for even greater compactness, achieving less than 30mm depth.
