AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® has expanded its range of eccentric bushings with a new version featuring an external diameter of Ø88.9 mm. This component has been developed to address applications where directional flexibility is required, while ensuring lateral stability and durability.
New eccentric Bushing Ø90 mm
What is an eccentric bushing?
In eccentric bushings, the centers of the inner and outer metal cylinders are offset. This geometric feature provides increased compliance in the direction of the main dynamic load, while preserving a controlled response in the orthogonal direction. This asymmetric elastic behavior is ideal for use cases requiring directional flexibility with structural integrity.
Technical features
- Optimized vibration damping and isolation: The eccentric layout allows decoupling of vibration in targeted directions while maintaining stability.
- Compact and robust: The assembly is engineered for environments with restricted space and high mechanical demands.
- Simple to install: The cylindrical form is designed for easy press-fit installation with minimal tooling.

Elastic properties
The elastic behavior has been characterized under quasi-static conditions.
• Load vs. Deflection
The graph illustrates the relation between applied static load (in kg) and the resulting vertical displacement (in mm). The Ø90 mm bushing exhibits deflections between 1 mm and over 4 mm depending on load level.
• Natural Frequency vs. Load
The second chart shows the corresponding natural frequencies of the bushing as a function of static load. The frequency range spans from 7 Hz to 13 Hz, depending on the applied load.
These performance metrics make the AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® eccentric bushing Ø90 a balanced solution for vibration-sensitive assemblies requiring directional compliance and structural control.
Typical applications
The AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® Ø90 mm eccentric bushing is suitable for:
- Tilting cab suspensions, where rotation flexibility is needed at the pivot point without compromising side stability.
- Suspension arms, particularly in mobile off-road equipment or construction machinery requiring controlled movement and vibration filtering.
