Low-profile spring hangers for high-performance acoustic ceilings.

AMC MECANOCAUCHO® expands its range of acoustic ceiling suspension solutions with the new VT W spring hanger range, specially designed for projects requiring a high level of vibration and noise isolation with a reduced ceiling height.

The new VT W hangers are intended for the suspension of acoustic ceilings where low natural frequencies are required, while keeping the ceiling build-up as compact as possible, allowing air gaps as low as 90mm. This makes them particularly suitable for applications where available height is limited and the loss of room volume must be minimized.

Technical features

The AMC MECANOCAUCHO® VT W spring hangers are designed to support metal channels up to 40 mm wide on both sides of the hanger. This configuration allows the ceiling suspension system to remain compact, helping to reduce the required air gap between the structural slab and the suspended ceiling.

The range covers load capacities from 5 to 150 kg per hanger, allowing the designer to select the most suitable model according to the load distribution of the suspended ceiling system. At their optimal working load, the VT W spring hangers provide a natural frequency below 5 Hz, offering a high level of isolation against low-frequency vibration transmission.

Each hanger incorporates a high-performance mechanical spring combined with a rubber bush. This rubber element is designed to help prevent sound bridges and avoid direct metal-to-metal contact caused by possible misalignment of the threaded rod.

The VT W design also provides clearance for the threaded rod to swing within a 35° angular envelope, helping to absorb installation tolerances and irregularities in the ceiling structure.

The robust metallic structure is supplied with a zinc-plated anti-corrosion coating, providing durability and resistance in building applications.
