NEW ONLINE CALCULATION TOOL, VIBRATION ISOLATOR PRO WEB

Vibration Isolator Pro

Vibration Isolator Pro

The Vibration Isolator Pro WEB tool has been developed to perform anti-vibration calculations in a simple and effective way. This application can be used from any device

5/4/2022

The Vibration Isolator Pro app is currently available for Android and IOS environments. With this update this application can now also be used as a web version

OPERATION

From our homepage http://www.mecanocaucho.com/ you can navigate to the Vibration Isolator Pro Web application. This selection tool will require the input of basic information about the application, the resultant output will be the most suitable choice of anti-vibration supports from the AMC product range. A demonstration of the steps taken are shown below.

INPUT DATA

The input data for the calculation is required, this is the weight of the suspended element, number of supports, running speed, desired degree of isolation and if the support must contain a mechanical failsafe feature or not.

By way of example the below has been completed with a weight of 280Kg, 4 supports, 3600 RPM and a required vibration isolation of 80%, we will opt for a failsafe solution.

The search will give the recommended product options from the AMC range, allowing the user to filter and select the one that best suits their case.

THE FILTERS

This application contains a wide range of anti vibration mounts, depending on the users preference of installation it can be beneficial to filter the results down to the most suited types. For example, in this case we have chosen the BRB type mounts, by clicking on them the information about each product will open on the side panel and the results table will be updated.

Reviewing the output results table, we will only see supports that are loaded from 50% to 75% of their capacity, this is set as a standard default range. When providing the input data the user can specify the type of application which will change the permissible load range accordingly.

These are the load ranges recommended by AMC for each type of application:

Application Rank

Vehicle cabin

50-70

Commercial vehicle engine

50-70

Marine Engine

50-70

HVAC

70-85

Suspended machines

70-85

Generator set

50-85

In order to show all of anti-vibration supports available, which are loaded from 0-100% capacity, the user can select the ‘show all’ tick box. As you can see in the following image this results in a product with a load percentage of 87.5%, care should be taken when selecting this product and further technical advice from an AMC engineer should be sought.

Another filter which is present on the results page is the catalogue selection. This allows the user to filter the results if they already know which product range they are interested in. Next to the button to show all the results we can select the catalogue.

THE TABLE

The link in the ‘code’ column will take the user to the product information page on the AMC website, here we can see all of the technical data for this product.

The link in the ‘measurements’ column creates a report to show the key calculation results for the selected product. The load, deflection and natural frequency is shown along with graphs to detail the expected vibration isolation throughout the frequency range. An example of this data is shown below.
