Information on the building
The Westbury Mayfair is one of London’s best-known luxury hotels and has a distinctly Anglo-American history. Originally opened on 1 March 1955 It was the first major luxury hotel built in London after the Second World War and the first London hotel to be owned and operated by an American company. The hotel quickly became associated with affluent American travellers, diplomats, celebrities, and business figures visiting London during the postwar boom years.
Since 2021 the Westbury hotel has been undergoing a major refurbishment which involves adding a new eight floor, a large rear extension and a new 2 story basement. The hotel is being built to a 5+ star standard, when complete it will contain 196 guestrooms, restaurants, bars, lounges, conference rooms and new spa facilities.

AMC Mecanocaucho has assisted with the necessary calculations to specify the acoustic ceiling hangers, taking into consideration the 17 different types of ceiling constructions.
For each ceiling type the grade of Sylomer and positions of each hanger has been reviewed to ensure optimal acoustic performance.
