ISOLATION OF CEILINGS WITH SPRINGTEC LATERAL TYPE C ACOUSTIC HANGERS
The hanger chosen for the suspension of the ceiling of the room was the Springtec Lateral Type C , since it was the hanger that best suited the application, considering the loads per mount, configuration and required natural frequency.

This acoustic hanger is designed to suspend false ceilings, with a load range that goes from 3kg to 60kg per mount, and provides a natural frequency of between 3 and 6Hz. The mounts are fixed to the sides of the beams through the holes in their two folds, so the loss of useful height of the room is minimal.

The Springtec Lateral Type C are designed to fit around the CRC of 1 ½" x 1/2", the metallic channel must be installed/inserted between the “C” and the threaded stud.
These acoustic hangers are usually installed at a certain distance from each other, this being adjustable, to suit the load or frequency requirements of the application. The threaded rod can be adapted to achieve the required height or to avoid any obstacles (ducts, for example) that may exist in the room.
