INSTALLATION OF FZH+SYLOMER® JACK UP MOUNTS at THE DUO towers in Paris, FRANCE

Duo Towers in Paris.

A bar lounge area, located above 3 hotel floors, needs to be acoustically decoupled.

INFORMATION ON THE BUILDING

Duo Towers are two skyscrapers under construction in the Gare district, in the XIII district of Paris on the banks of the River Seine. The towers are designed by the French architect Jean Nouvel and this project includes two towers, the first is 180 meters tall which includes offices, shops and activities on the ground floor. The second tower of 120 meters is designed to accommodate a hotel, shops and offices. The towers are located in the neighbourhood Massena-Bruneseau which is within the perimeter of the operation of development "Paris-left Bank". The construction began in 2017 and is expected to be completed in 2021.

The essential principle of the urban program – the transverse fracture and the creation of a central plaza between the two buildings that preserves views toward the Berliet industrial building – is respected and accentuated by the inclined buildings which cooperate to form an open V of sunlight. These two buildings aim at increasing the pleasure of being in this place. They seek out views, accommodate vegetation on their terraces; their summits are open to all. To achieve the complex acoustic requirements of the building, floating concrete slabs with FZH+Sylomer® Jack up mounts were used for isolating a bar lounge area from the hotel which is located on the lower floor.

VINCI CONSTRUCTION was responsible for the installation of the acoustic floating slabs on FZH+Sylomer® Jack up mounts, with the assistance of a technical team from AMC MECANOCAUCHO.

The technical team of AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® participated in the selection of the floating slab support according to the specifications of the Acoustic consultant.

AMC MECANOCAUCHO® follows up acoustic projects from the early concept stages right up to installation and sign off. In order to simplify the positioning of the FZH+Sylomer® Jack up mounts and create a clear instruction for installers, AMC-MECANOCAUCHO uses project Autocad files and positions the jack up mounts on the same Autocad file.
