HISTORY OF THE MILL

Built in the 19th century, the building is used to grind wheat thanks to hydraulic power. You can still access the mill via the old so-called "Roman" bridge. Built around the 1850s, it was a hydraulic cylinder and steam mill for the production of bread flour. A large wheel located inside the building supplied 50% of the energy, the rest being supplied by turbines, first steam and then electric. Manufacturing developed from 1945, reaching 100 quintals of flour per day.

The flour mill then supplied cereal-poor regions of France and exported several wagons of flour a week to war-torn Ukraine. Industrial activity ceased in the 1970s. Prior to the Anguitard mill there existed, opposite the washhouse, the small Anjoumard mill, which could be accessed by a wooden bridge with stone stacks, from the street from the church.

INFORMATION ON THE BUILDING

The mill is today at the heart of communal cultural and leisure activities.

The presence within its walls of associative, municipal structures make the mill an essential municipal cultural pole: music, dance, theatre, poetry, painting, manual activities, ... are daily practiced by the Chasseneuillais throughout of the year. The hall of honour hosts each year a dozen artistic exhibitions open to the public (painting, sculpture, photography, ...).

Every year, events highlight the Moulin d'Anguitard site: these days take place in the form of artistic exhibitions / workshops, craft demonstrations, intimate musical concerts, street theatre and other fun activities for all audiences (wooden games, pony rides, ...).

To cope with acoustic complexity of the building, POINT D’ORGUE was hired. Floating slabs with FZH+-Sylomer ® Jack up mounts were used for slab decoupling.

BOUTILLET SAS was responsible for the installation of acoustic floating slabs on FZH+Sylomer® Jack up mounts, with the assistance of a technical team of AMC MECANOCAUCHO present before and after pouring the concrete.

The technical team of AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® participated in the selection of the floating slab support according to the specifications of the Acoustic consultant.

AMC MECANOCAUCHO® follows up acoustic projects from project stage to installation. In order to simplify the positioning of the FZH+Sylomer® floating slab jack up mounts, AMC-MECANOCAUCHO uses project Autocad files and positions the jack up mounts on the same Autocad file.
