V-Shaped Generator Vibration Isolators

Highly elastic V-shaped vibration isolators with a low natural frequency, designed for effective vibration isolation of generator sets, engines, and rotating equipment.

The AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® V-shaped Generator Vibration Isolators are specifically designed for the vibration isolation of generator sets, engines, and rotating equipment requiring high elasticity combined with good stability.

Their design consists of two elastomer elements symmetrically arranged in a V configuration. This geometry allows the rubber to work in compression and shear, providing low vertical stiffness and a low natural frequency for effective isolation of vibrations generated by the equipment.

The symmetrical arrangement of the elastomer elements also provides good lateral stability and helps control movement of the isolated equipment during startup, shutdown, and transient dynamic conditions.

Thanks to their combination of high elasticity, low natural frequency, and stability, V-Type Generator Vibration Isolators are particularly suitable for generator sets and engines operating at low and medium speeds, where a high level of vibration isolation is required.

Technical characteristics

The V-Shaped Generator mounts render it possible to make installations which are more flexible than ones that can normally be made with cylindrical or Bobbin mounts. This makes it possible to achieve lower system frequencies and consequently improved vibration isolation.

Stability is enhanced when two are installed, symmetrically opposed See fig. 1.
They have two different length screws which facilitate the assembly of the engine to the chassis. The screws can be supplied in different lengths to order.
They have to "'anti-turn" tabs which stop the mount from turning when strong tightening torque is applied (very frequently) with pneumatic tools.
They are supplied in 2 hardnesses to adapt to different load ranges.
They provide vibration attenuation or above 90% in diesel or petrol single-cylinder engines running at 3000 rpm.
