
MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTION FOR ANTI-SEISMIC SPRING MOUNTS

Anti-seismic spring mounts are made of mechanical anchoring systems which ensure your unit applications static and provide high reliability for the isolation of low frequency vibrations.
Besides this, they offer the following advantages:
- TRANSPORT SAFETY: Vibrabsorber seismic brackets feature a locking device, so that the brackets are locked during the transport of the machine.
- NOISE ISOLATION STRUCTURE: The microcellular polyurethane Sylomer® pad these supports have under their base insulates the mid and high frequencies that are transmitted by the spring.
But anti-seismic spring mounts require some maintenance for proper operation. The recommended maintenance instructions are as follows:
- Check that the anti-traction screws are in the right position. Otherwise glue them with Loctite 270 and turn them clockwise to assure that the thread goes through the top housing completely but without touching the base housing.
- Check that the distance “D” between the top face of the top housing and the top face of the base housing is at least 10mm. Otherwise contact with AMC to check if the springs are suitable for the involved loads and to check that they are installed in the right position.
- Check that the coil springs are not vertically misaligned. In case of doubt contact AMC.
- Check that the rubber buffers of the corners are in good conditions and are in place, that is, that they do not allow metal to metal contact between base housing and top housing.
- Check that the seismic spring is firmly fixed by the bottom fixation holes. Otherwise tighten the fixing screws.
