Two Complementary Approaches to Vibration Isolation
Vibration isolation can be applied either at the source or at the receiver, depending on the application. Source isolation reduces the transmission of vibration and structure-borne noise from machinery to the supporting structure. Receiver isolation protects sensitive equipment and processes from environmental vibration by decoupling them from the supporting structure. In both cases, resilient isolation elements minimise vibration transmission and improve system performance.
