Electrical transformers can generate continuous vibrations that are transmitted through their support points into the building structure, resulting in structure-borne noise in adjacent spaces.
AMC Mecanocaucho provides isolation systems based on reinforced concrete inertia bases supported on Sylomer®, reducing the transmission of vibration and structure-borne noise from the transformer into the building.
The additional mass of the inertia base also helps stabilize the installation, while the Sylomer® provides the elastic decoupling required between the transformer assembly and the supporting structure.

The transformer is installed on a reinforced concrete inertia base, which is elastically isolated from the building structure using Sylomer®.
Sylomer® is a microcellular polyurethane elastomer that allows the stiffness of the isolation system to be selected based on the total load, load distribution, and disturbing frequencies of the transformer.
Special attention must be given to preventing rigid connections or contact points between the inertia base and the surrounding structure, as these can create acoustic bridges and significantly reduce isolation performance.
This configuration provides an effective solution for reducing transformer vibration and structure-borne noise in mechanical and electrical rooms and other noise-sensitive buildings.
