FAIM

The AKUSTIKABSORBER FAIM range is designed to provide a complete acoustic isolation and absorption system for demanding environments. It combines Type F fire-resistant foam, an aluminized fiberglass technical facing on the exposed surface, and a heavy mass layer bonded to the rear. This multilayer construction provides an excellent combination of airborne noise isolation, fire resistance, and acoustic absorption at mid and high frequencies.

The rear acoustic mass, typically between 2 and 5 kg/m², significantly improves sound isolation, particularly at low frequencies where foam alone is less effective. The aluminized fiberglass facing also provides high resistance to abrasion, heat, and chemical agents, making FAIM particularly suitable for industrial environments, technical rooms, machinery, electrical compartments, and areas exposed to oils, splashes, or contaminants.

FAIM is normally installed with the foam facing the noise source to provide acoustic absorption, while the rear heavy mass layer acts as an acoustic barrier, reducing noise transmission. The complete assembly maintains fire-resistant performance suitable for technical applications with fire-safety requirements.
