FIM

The AKUSTIKABSORBER FIM is a multilayer acoustic panel designed to provide high airborne sound isolation, combining sound absorption, mass, and mechanical durability in a single technical product. It consists of fire-resistant Type F polyurethane foam, a durable fiberglass facing, and a heavy mass layer bonded to the rear, which acts as an acoustic barrier when positioned against the supporting surface during installation.

The Type F foam provides effective sound absorption, particularly at mid and high frequencies. The external fiberglass facing mechanically reinforces the panel and protects the foam against wear, abrasion, and demanding operating conditions. The rear heavy mass layer increases the surface mass of the system, helping to reduce airborne sound transmission.

This multilayer construction makes FIM particularly suitable for demanding industrial applications, acoustic enclosures, technical rooms, machinery housings, and cabs where high sound isolation, effective absorption, and high surface resistance are required.
