Their conical design provides a relatively low vertical stiffness, promoting the isolation of vibrations generated by the machine, together with a higher horizontal stiffness to limit lateral movement under dynamic loads.
The hydraulic cone vibration isolators also incorporate hydraulic damping through a viscous fluid, which is particularly effective in controlling large-amplitude movements and reducing vibration amplification when passing through resonance regions.
