The AKUSTIKABSORBER PFM is a multilayer acoustic panel designed to provide an effective balance between high sound absorption and airborne sound isolation. It consists of a highly absorptive polyester fiber facing, flexible polyurethane foam, and a heavy mass layer bonded to the rear, significantly improving the overall sound isolation performance.
The polyester fiber facing, positioned on the side exposed to the sound source, provides excellent sound absorption at mid and high frequencies, while offering a clean technical finish. The polyurethane foam acts as an intermediate absorptive layer, helping to dissipate sound energy. Finally, the rear heavy mass layer increases the surface mass of the system and acts as an acoustic barrier, helping to reduce airborne sound transmission.
Thanks to this combination, PFM is particularly suitable for applications requiring high acoustic performance within a compact construction, including technical rooms, cabs, acoustic enclosures, and machinery housings, particularly where both the internal acoustic environment and sound isolation to surrounding areas need to be improved.
