The AKUSTIKABSORBER PIM is a multilayer acoustic panel designed to provide good airborne sound isolation combined with effective sound absorption, even in demanding industrial environments. It consists of a fiberglass outer facing, resistant to abrasion and industrial operating conditions, polyurethane foam, and a heavy mass layer bonded to the rear, which significantly improves the overall sound isolation performance.
The fiberglass facing provides a robust exposed surface, particularly suitable for applications where the panel may be subjected to rubbing, light impacts, or airborne particles. The central polyurethane foam provides effective sound absorption at mid and high frequencies, while the rear heavy mass layer increases the surface mass of the system and acts as an acoustic barrier, reducing airborne sound transmission.
PIM is particularly recommended for industrial enclosures, machinery, cabs, technical rooms, and acoustic enclosures requiring a durable and functional acoustic treatment combining sound absorption, isolation, and surface resistance.
