The AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® Type C Progressive Rubber Stops are elastic rubber elements designed to absorb shocks and limit the travel of moving parts progressively.
Their conical geometry increases the contact area as the rubber deforms. As a result, stiffness progressively increases with compression, allowing a significant amount of energy to be absorbed while avoiding an excessively abrupt response to impact.
Compared with a rigid stop, this progressive deformation helps to reduce forces transmitted to the structure, shocks and noise, while providing effective motion control at the end of travel.
Equipped with a female threaded fixing, Type C Progressive Rubber Stops are particularly suitable for industrial machinery, mobile equipment, doors and mechanisms subjected to repeated impacts or requiring progressive energy absorption.

These buffers are made with a rubber compound permitting major deformations under impact with notable absorption of energy. They can be made with high-damping rubber to order, however , absorption of energy inhigh damped compounds is performed with reduced rebound movement and with slightly higher transfer levels of stress to the structure .
