AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® Anti-Seismic Preloaded 4V-SX Spring Isolators are designed for applications requiring high-performance low-frequency vibration isolation, combined with mechanical protection under seismic conditions.
With a static deflection of up to 76 mm (3 inches), the springs provide a natural frequency of approximately 2 Hz, ensuring a very high level of low-frequency vibration isolation.
The adjustable preload system facilitates installation by maintaining the spring isolator at a predetermined height before the equipment load is fully applied. This design helps prevent sudden settlement of the equipment during installation and facilitates system leveling.
A Sylomer® layer helps reduce the transmission of medium- and high-frequency vibrations that may propagate through the steel springs. The spring + Sylomer® combination therefore provides effective vibration isolation over a very wide frequency range.
The integrated seismic restraint system limits excessive equipment movement under exceptional loads, while allowing the movement required for effective vibration isolation under normal operating conditions.
