The AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® V-Shaped Marine Engine Vibration Isolators are specifically designed for the vibration isolation of marine diesel engines, particularly 1, 2, 3 and 4-cylinder engines commonly used in sailboats.
Their V-shaped geometry allows the elastomer to work in compression and shear, providing high deflection and a low natural frequency. This design is particularly effective at improving vibration isolation at low engine speeds and at idle, where diesel engines with a low number of cylinders can generate significant vibration levels.
Different stiffness characteristics in all three axes help control engine movement while providing greater flexibility in the directions where vibration isolation is most needed. This provides an optimal balance between vibration isolation, engine stability and control of propeller thrust loads.
Their rugged construction and corrosion protection provide reliable performance in demanding marine environments. The upper stud and two base mounting points also simplify engine installation and alignment.

The AMC-Mecanocaucho® V-Marine Engine Mount shape design provides high deflections for relatively low loads. This means that the natural frequency is low and ideal for engines which frequently work at idle speed. It has different stiffness rates in the Vertical , Horizontal and Lateral axes which permits adjustments to the system modes for optimal isolation and stability.
