The AMC MECANOCAUCHO® Cone 67 and Cone 68 anti-vibration mounts are ideal for mobile applications for loads ranging from 1500 to 5000kg, depending on the model and rubber hardness.
The new Cone 67 and 68 are designed to be a high load capacity version of our existing Cone 38 and 39.
TECHNICAL FEATURES
The design of these anti vibration mounts has been optimized using FEM. This process ensures that the stress in the rubber compound is homogeneous and within acceptable limits throughout the section of the anti vibration mount.
These mounts are supplied with rebound and centering washers to limit movement in compression and tension. Like the rest of the AMC-MECANOCAUCHO Conical anti vibration mounts, the horizontal stability is assured thanks to the parallel faces between the external and internal component metals:
Cone 67
The Cone 67 is provided with some cutouts in the rubber. Thanks to this shape, this mount is more flexible in one horizontal direction than in the other. This feature is especially interesting for those applications where a lower stiffness is required in one of the axes, like internal combustion engines. When they are used to suspend combustion engines, they are conceived to orient their stiffest radial direction (X) parallel to the crankshaft and their most flexible radial direction (Y) perpendicular to the crankshaft. This way of installation allows a higher isolation level in the direction where most of the excitation of the engine is produced, while it provides more stability in the longitudinal direction.
See the Cone 67 from below without the anti-rebound washer, in which the cutouts at both sides in Y direction can be clearly seen:
Our technical department can provide you the elastical constants and can recommend you the optimal position of the cutouts.
Durability and overload response
The AMC MECANOCAUCHO® Cone 67 and Cone 68 mounts feature a double-bonded design, making them suitable for handling high dynamic loads and improving their durability. The rubber geometry of these mounts provides progressive stiffness under overload conditions, effectively limiting the movement of the suspended element.
APPLICATIONS
These anti-vibration mounts are ideal for high-demanding mobile applications, like agricultural or construction vehicles.
They provide stability while effectively damping impacts and vibrations.
