AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® develops vibration isolation systems for wind turbines, designed for critical components such as the drivetrain, gearbox, generator, and transformer.
These systems reduce the transmission of vibration, dynamic loads, and structure-borne noise to the supporting structure, helping control the dynamic behavior of the equipment and its interaction with the wind turbine structure.
Different vibration isolator configurations can be developed to accommodate the loads, operating conditions, and mechanical requirements of each component, providing reliable vibration isolation for demanding wind energy applications.
Gearbox and generator isolation
Inside the nacelle, the gearbox and the generator are the main sources of vibration. AMC Mecanocaucho suspends the gearbox using rubber-metal bushings on the torque arms (single-piece, double or split) and isolates the generator with elastic mounts. This reduces the transmission of vibration and structure-borne noise to the tower and extends the service life of the components.
