Base support for wall linings. It secures the upper channel and decouples the system from the floor by means of a flexible rubber tongue.
The EP 500 is a resilient rubber mount designed for the acoustic decoupling of independent wall assemblies at floor level, preventing rigid contact with the supporting structure.
The metal track is attached directly to the upper part of the mount, while a resilient rubber element provides acoustic decoupling from the floor. Its design also keeps the drywall separated from the floor, helping to prevent the formation of acoustic bridges.
The EP 500 reduces the transmission of vibrations and structure-borne sound between the wall assembly and the building structure. Its simple design facilitates installation and provides continuous acoustic decoupling along the base of the wall system.
It is particularly suitable for independent wall assemblies, acoustic wall systems, and metal framing in residential buildings, commercial buildings, mechanical rooms, and other applications requiring improved acoustic isolation.
