The AKUSTIKABSORBER MASS LOADED BARRIERS range consists of high-density viscoelastic sheets designed to improve airborne sound isolation by increasing the surface mass of walls, panels, and enclosures. Flexible and easy to adapt, they can be used as acoustic barriers or incorporated as an intermediate layer in multilayer systems.
Manufactured from a highly mineral-filled viscoelastic material, they are available in two standard surface masses: 5 kg/m² and 10 kg/m², allowing acoustic performance to be adapted to the requirements of each application. Their viscoelastic behavior also provides an additional damping effect, helping to reduce panel vibration and resonance.
MASS LOADED BARRIERS are supplied in 1230 × 1030 mm sheets, making them easy to cut and adapt to machinery enclosures, equipment housings, panels, floors, and technical compartments. Their high surface mass makes them particularly effective for improving sound isolation, especially at low frequencies, and enhancing the overall performance of multilayer acoustic systems.
