AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® Anti-Seismic Vibrabsorber + Sylomer® V-SH Spring Isolators are designed for equipment requiring high-performance low-frequency vibration isolation, combined with mechanical protection under seismic conditions.
With a static deflection of up to 50 mm (2 inches), the springs provide natural frequencies as low as 3 Hz, ensuring effective isolation of equipment operating at low speeds or generating very low-frequency vibrations.
The Sylomer® layer helps reduce the transmission of medium- and high-frequency vibrations that may propagate through the steel springs. The spring + Sylomer® combination therefore extends the effective isolation frequency range and further reduces the transmission of vibration and structure-borne noise to the supporting structure.
An integrated seismic restraint system limits excessive vertical and horizontal movement of the equipment under exceptional loads, while allowing the movement required for effective vibration isolation under normal operating conditions.
This combination of high deflection, very low natural frequency, high vibration isolation performance, and seismic protection makes V-SH spring isolators particularly suitable for HVAC equipment, refrigeration units, pumps, fans, compressors, generator sets, and other heavy mechanical equipment requiring high levels of vibration isolation.
