AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® anti vibration mount rubber to metal bonding quality on gensets

The AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® bobbins are not failsafe anti vibration mounts. These anti vibration mounts have not been designed to work at traction. For mobile applications AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® applications engineers will recommend normally failsafe type of mounts. Nevertheless, on some cases customers do not have the budget or space envelope.

This is a case where a genset equipped with AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® anti vibration mounts, fell down a service truck. The genset was deformed after this accident. Despite the permanent big tension that the mounts where supporting they did not unbond and kept the engine in place avoiding a major reparation of the engine.
