Swimming pools generate structure-borne noise, vibrations, and impact loads that can be transmitted through the building structure via the pool vessel, surrounding deck, and supporting slab. This is particularly critical in rooftop pools, elevated pools, hotels, residential buildings, and other acoustically sensitive environments.
AMC Mecanocaucho resilient isolation solutions elastically decouple the entire pool system from the supporting structure. By isolating both the pool vessel and the surrounding deck, they minimise the transmission of structure-borne noise and vibrations, improving acoustic comfort while protecting adjacent spaces and lower floors from unwanted disturbance.
1. Resilient edge isolation: Perimeter resilient layer that elastically decouples the pool vessel from the surrounding structure, preventing rigid contact and reducing the transmission of structure-borne noise.
2. Structural wall: Load-bearing structural element that supports the building and receives the loads transmitted by the pool system.
3. Vertical Sylomer®: Resilient isolation layer installed along the sides of the pool vessel to elastically decouple it from the surrounding structure and minimise the transmission of structure-borne noise and vibrations.
4. Reinforced concrete pool vessel: Structural concrete shell designed to contain the water and safely withstand all static and dynamic loads.
5. Ceramic finish: Waterproof ceramic lining that provides the final interior finish while protecting the concrete pool vessel.
6. Bottom Sylomer®: Continuous resilient isolation layer beneath the pool vessel that elastically decouples the structure and reduces the transmission of structure-borne noise and vibrations.
7. Structural concrete slab: Primary load-bearing concrete slab that supports the isolated pool system and transfers loads to the building structure.
