Small-diameter pipework, including copper, steel and multilayer pipes, can transmit structure-borne vibration from HVAC equipment, pumps, compressors and refrigeration systems to the building structure. When rigidly fixed to walls, ceilings or steel supports, these vibrations can generate secondary airborne noise, resonances and acoustic discomfort in occupied spaces.
Resilient anti-vibration supports elastically decouple the pipework from the building structure, reducing vibration transmission, minimising noise propagation and protecting both the installation and its supports from long-term fatigue.

When pipework cannot be suspended directly from the building structure, a trapeze support frame is commonly used. Resilient spring isolators are installed between the support frame and the building structure to reduce the transmission of structure-borne vibration.
AMC medium-series spring isolators combine a low-frequency steel spring with a Sylomer® element that attenuates medium- and high-frequency vibration. This hybrid design provides broadband vibration isolation while ensuring stable support for the pipework.
