The AKUSTIKABSORBER PDM is a multilayer acoustic panel designed to provide an effective combination of sound absorption and airborne sound isolation in applications where no specific fire performance is required. It consists of flexible polyurethane foam, a heavy mass layer bonded to the rear, and a perforated PVC facing providing both surface protection and a technical finish.
The polyurethane foam provides effective sound absorption at medium and high frequencies. The rear heavy mass layer increases the surface mass of the system, helping to reduce airborne sound transmission. The perforated PVC facing allows sound to reach the absorptive foam whilst protecting its surface and providing a clean, professional finish.
Thanks to this multilayer construction, PDM provides a cost-effective and efficient solution for machinery enclosures, cabins, interior panels, acoustic cabinets and technical enclosures where improved sound isolation and absorption are required without specific fire performance requirements.
