The AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® Solid Cone mounts are rubber-metal vibration isolators consisting of two concentric metal parts bonded by an elastomeric element.
Thanks to their solid and symmetrical conical geometry, they provide the same radial stiffness in all directions through 360°. This characteristic ensures consistent behaviour regardless of the direction of radial forces and makes them particularly suitable for applications subjected to multidirectional loads.
The elastomer works in compression and shear, combining vibration isolation, stability and motion control under static and dynamic loads.
The mounts are equipped with two metal washers, one acting as a fail-safe rebound stop and the other providing mount centring, ensuring a robust and reliable installation.
Thanks to their compact and robust design, Solid Cones are particularly suitable for engines, generator sets, auxiliary machinery, industrial vehicles and mobile machinery.
The AMC-Mecanocaucho® Cone mounts are safe and stable elements. They do not allow the suspended elements to tilt, while being flexible enough to avoid the transmission of noise and vibration through the structure.
They are supplied with stop and centering washers. This renders deflection above the limits of the Mecanocaucho® Cones impossible, even at extreme loads.
The washers protect the natural rubber (which is highly elastic and highly resistant) from ozone and aging, as well as from metal knocks and dripping oil. The characteristic deflection curves of the AMC-Mecanocaucho® Cone mounts with centering washer are quite linear, increasing progressively as the load increases. Thanks to this they can safely dampen overloads of up to three times the maximum admissible load.
