AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® Anti-Seismic Vibrabsorber + Sylomer® Spring Mounts with Viscous Dampers combine high-deflection steel springs, a Sylomer® layer, an integrated viscous damper and seismic restraints to provide effective vibration isolation and a high level of dynamic movement control.
The steel springs provide the main elastic function and a low natural frequency for effective low-frequency vibration isolation. The Sylomer® layer helps reduce the transmission of medium- and high-frequency vibrations that may propagate through the steel springs.
The viscous damper dissipates energy and provides additional damping to the suspended system, helping to limit movement amplitudes during transient conditions, start-ups, shutdowns and seismic events.
This design is particularly beneficial where the installation of an inertia base is not possible or desirable. The viscous damper improves the dynamic control of the suspended equipment without requiring a significant increase in the mass of the system.
An integrated seismic restraint system protects the equipment and limits excessive vertical and horizontal movement under exceptional loads.
These spring mounts are particularly suitable for HVAC equipment, refrigeration units, pumps, fans, compressors, generator sets and other technical equipment, particularly where low-frequency vibration isolation, high damping, movement control and seismic protection are required.
