WIRE MESH MOUNT
Anti-vibration mount made from compressed stainless steel wire mesh, designed to support marine exhaust systems.
Its all-metal construction allows this mount to be used in corrosive environments where conventional elastomeric mounts are unsuitable. It is primarily used at sliding support points in marine exhaust systems, at external locations such as the “rain cup”, and as an additional support for stainless steel pipework. Its design combines stiffness and damping to reduce vibration transmission to the vessel’s structure, while allowing thermal expansion of the exhaust system to be accommodated through a suitable sliding arrangement.
