The AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® Anti-Seismic Spring Mounts with Viscous Dampers combine high-deflection steel springs with an integrated viscous damper, providing effective vibration isolation whilst improving control of equipment movement.
The springs provide a low natural frequency for effective low-frequency vibration isolation. The viscous damper dissipates energy and limits movement amplitudes during transient conditions, start-up, shutdown and significant dynamic excitation.
The additional viscous damping is particularly beneficial for equipment with a highly eccentric mass distribution or significant rocking and rotational motion. It improves the dynamic stability of the spring-mounted system and, in suitable applications, can avoid the need for additional inertia masses or inertia bases.
The integrated seismic restraint system limits excessive equipment displacement under seismic conditions whilst allowing the movement required for effective vibration isolation during normal operation. Its fail-safe design also contributes to the mechanical security of the installation.
The epoxy-coated finish provides good corrosion resistance, making these spring mounts suitable for demanding industrial environments.

The AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® Antiseismic with viscous damper spring mountings, the lateral buffers incorporate a combination of Sylomer and steel, structurally capable of withstanding to high lateral forces that occur on seismic events.
A layer of Sylomer underneath the mount allows isolation to high frequencies capable of getting through the steel coil springs, allowing a high isolation of noise.
The viscous damper allows critical dampening ratios of above 30%.
The mount is coated in Cataphoreses electro coating to resist at extreme corrosive environments.
