The AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® Sandwich Support type vibration isolators are ideal for static or mobile applications for loads ranging from 50 to 1500kg. The Support Sandwich vibration isolators consists of three metal plates joined by two rubber blocks. This is particularly interesting for mobile applications where the vertical movement has to be controlled.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
The AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® Sandwich Support type vibration isolators are manufactured in 3 standard rubber hardness to suit load ranges from 50 to 1500kg. The baseplate metal parts are coated with phosphate in order to withstand to arduous corrosive environments.
This vibration isolator is designed to have different stiffness levels in vertical and horizontal directions, it is much more stiffer in its vertical direction and it is able to work in an inclined position. This allows both to reach the Centre of Gravity of the system by changing its inclination, making the system as stable as possible and to incline them to get the required stiffness in the vertical direction of the system.
ELASTICAL PROPERTIES
The following graphs show the different elastic properties of the mount. The Graph #1 shows the deformation of the vibration isolator under vertical loads, the Graph #2 shows its deformation under horizontal loads and the Graph #3 shows the natural frequency of the mount under different load values.

APPLICATIONS
The AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® Support Sandwich type vibration isolators are used on static or mobile applications where there is a limitation of space and a light weight of the suspended element. Due to this fact, the vibration isolators must be capable of controlling the vertical movement of the system. Typical applications that match this requirement are, for example, small 6 cylinder engines, where the space for the vibration isolators in their front part is limited.
