Axially precompressed mounts are designed for wind turbine gearboxes with 3-point suspension systems. The elastomer is subjected to axial precompression during installation, providing the required stiffness and dynamic behavior to control gearbox movements and reduce the transmission of vibrations and structure-borne noise.
The mounts can be manufactured in different sizes and rubber hardnesses, allowing their stiffness and load capacity to be adapted to the specific requirements of each gearbox and wind turbine.
Their configuration also facilitates installation and retrofit operations, particularly where access around the gearbox torque support is limited.

The mount is installed using a block divided into two parts, positioned above and below the gearbox torque support. This arrangement facilitates installation and replacement without requiring a closed mounting eye.
During assembly, the elastomeric elements are axially precompressed, establishing the required preload and stiffness of the gearbox suspension.
The use of high-quality natural rubber and double bonded rubber-to-metal construction provides high durability, while different dimensions and rubber hardnesses allow the stiffness and load capacity to be adapted to the specific requirements of the gearbox.
