Multilayer mounts for torque arms are designed for wind turbine gearboxes with 4-point suspension systems. They provide an elastic connection between the gearbox torque arms and the supporting structure, reducing the transmission of vibrations, dynamic loads, and structure-borne noise.
Their multilayer construction allows high loads and torque reactions to be accommodated while maintaining the required elastic characteristics of the gearbox suspension.
The stiffness, dimensions, and number of elastomer layers can be adapted to the loads, dynamic behavior, and specific requirements of each wind turbine gearbox.

Multilayer mounts are installed above and below the flat mounting surface of the gearbox torque arm, creating an elastic connection between the torque arm and the supporting structure.
This arrangement controls the transmission of dynamic torque reactions, vibrations and structure-borne noise generated by the gearbox.
Depending on the torque loads, gearbox characteristics and wind turbine configuration, AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® can adapt the stiffness, dimensions and number of elastomer layers to achieve the required dynamic performance.
