AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® Anti-Seismic Vibrabsorber + Sylomer® isolators combine high-deflection steel springs, a Sylomer® layer, and an integrated seismic restraint system to provide both effective vibration isolation and mechanical protection of equipment under seismic conditions.
The high deflection of the springs provides a low natural frequency and excellent low-frequency vibration isolation. The Sylomer® layer helps reduce the transmission of medium- and high-frequency vibrations that may propagate through the steel springs, providing effective isolation over a wide frequency range.
Under exceptional loads, the seismic restraint system limits excessive vertical and horizontal movement of the equipment while allowing the movement required for effective vibration isolation under normal operating conditions.
These isolators are particularly suitable for HVAC equipment, pumps, fans, compressors, refrigeration units, generator sets, and other mechanical equipment requiring both effective vibration isolation and mechanical protection in seismic zones.
