AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® Anti-Seismic Snubbers are mechanical restraint devices designed to limit excessive equipment movement caused by seismic events or other exceptional loads.
Under normal operating conditions, the snubber allows the isolated equipment to move freely within the designed clearance, without creating a rigid connection that could compromise the performance of the vibration isolation system.
When exceptional movement exceeds the designed clearance, the snubber engages and limits equipment displacement, helping prevent movement that could damage the machine, its connections, or the surrounding structure.
This design combines vibration isolation during normal operation with mechanical protection under exceptional conditions, making it particularly suitable for HVAC equipment, refrigeration units, pumps, fans, compressors, generator sets, and other mechanical equipment installed in seismic zones.
