AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® INTRODUCES THE NEW SANDWICH ANTI VIBRATION MOUNTS
The AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® Sandwich mounts are ideal for static or mobile applications which result in 80 to 150kg per mount. The Sandwich anti vibration mounts consist of two metal plates joined by a rubber block with a specially defined profile, ensuring excellent performance and durability. This is particularly interesting for mobile applications where the vertical movement has to be controlled.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
The AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® Sandwich anti vibration mounts are manufactured in 2 standard rubber hardness to suit load ranges from 80 to 150kg. The baseplate metal parts are coated with phosphate in order to withstand arduous corrosive environments.
This anti vibration mount is designed to have different stiffness levels in the vertical and horizontal directions, providing a much stiffer result in its vertical direction. Taking in to account the center of gravity of the system and the stiffness of the mounts in axial and radial, the optimum angle of inclination can be determined to provide stability to the system whilst giving excellent vibration isolation.
ELASTICAL PROPERTIES
The following graphs show the different elastic properties of the mount. The Graph #2 shows the deformation of the anti vibration mount under vertical loads and the Graph #1 shows the natural frequency of the mount under different load values.
APPLICATIONS
The AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® Sandwich anti vibration mounts are ideal for static or mobile applications where there is a limitation of space and the weight of the suspended element is low. Due to this fact, the anti vibration mounts must be capable of controlling the vertical movement of the system. Typical applications that match this requirement are for example small 6 cylinder engines where the space for the anti vibration mounts at their front end is limited.
