The AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® Type C Progressive Buffers are elastic rubber elements designed to absorb shocks and limit the travel of moving parts progressively.
Their conical geometry increases the contact area as the rubber deforms. As a result, stiffness progressively increases with compression, allowing a significant amount of energy to be absorbed while avoiding an excessively abrupt response to impact.
Compared with a rigid stop, this progressive deformation helps to reduce forces transmitted to the structure, shocks and noise, while providing effective motion control at the end of travel.
Equipped with a female fixing, Type C Progressive Buffers are particularly suitable for industrial machinery, mobile equipment, doors and mechanisms subjected to repeated impacts or requiring progressive energy absorption.

These buffers are made with a rubber compound permitting major deformations under impact with notable absorption of energy. They can be made with high-damping rubber to order, however , absorption of energy inhigh damped compounds is performed with reduced rebound movement and with slightly higher transfer levels of stress to the structure .
