The AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® 6V-SR Anti-Seismic Spring Mount incorporates six high-deflection steel springs and is designed for equipment requiring high load capacity, effective low-frequency vibration isolation and mechanical protection under seismic conditions.
The six-spring configuration provides a particularly high load capacity whilst maintaining a low natural frequency, effectively reducing the transmission of vibration from the equipment to the supporting structure.
A Sylomer® layer complements the springs by reducing the transmission of medium and high frequencies that may propagate through the steel springs. The combination of springs + Sylomer® therefore provides effective vibration isolation over a wide frequency range.
The spring mount also incorporates an integrated levelling system for precise equipment height adjustment and an anti-slip rubber base.
Under exceptional or seismic loads, the integrated seismic restraint system limits excessive equipment movement, whilst allowing the movement required for effective vibration isolation under normal operating conditions.
The 6V-SR range is particularly suitable for heavy HVAC equipment, refrigeration units, air handling units, pumps, fans, compressors and generator sets requiring high load capacity.
The mounts are able to reach low natural frequencies from 3 to 5 Hz. The spring combined with sylomer® is able to provide high isolation at low and medium frequencies.
The curves are showing the deflection and natural frequencies according to the load of the spring. Temperature working range from -30 to 70º. Short term higher temperatures are possible.
