AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® Anti-Seismic Vibrabsorber mounts are steel spring anti-vibration mounts designed to combine low-frequency vibration isolation with seismic restraints that limit excessive movement during a seismic event.
Under normal operating conditions, the high deflection of the springs provides a low natural frequency and excellent low-frequency vibration isolation. The integrated seismic restraints and stops allow the movement required for effective vibration isolation while limiting vertical and horizontal displacement under exceptional loads.
As an option, Anti-Seismic Vibrabsorber mounts can incorporate a Sylomer® layer designed to reduce the transmission of medium- and high-frequency vibrations that may propagate through the steel springs. The spring + Sylomer® combination therefore extends the effective isolation frequency range and further reduces the transmission of vibration and structure-borne noise to the supporting structure.
They are particularly suitable for HVAC equipment, refrigeration units, fans, pumps, compressors, generator sets and other technical equipment installed in seismic zones.
