INSUL is a program for predicting the sound insulation of walls, floors, roofs, ceilings and windows. Impact sound isolation values for floors and roofs can be predicted due to the effect of footfall and rain inputs. The programme can make good estimates for the Transmission Loss (TL) or Impact Sound (Ln) in 1/3 octave bands and Weighted Sound Reduction Index (STC or Rw) or Impact Rating (IIC/LnTw). These results are used in noise transfer calculations during the acoustic design and specification stage.

Inserting the basic elements of your application the app allows you to select the correct solution according to your Budget or natural frequency requirement. The app will ask you basic technical information such as weight per sqm, distance between acoustic hangers / floating floor mounts and required natural frequency. Once this data is inserted the app will provide you with a calculation, datasheets and videos of installation procedure.
