The AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® 4V-SR Anti-Seismic Spring Isolator incorporates four high-deflection steel springs and is designed for equipment requiring high load capacity, effective low-frequency vibration isolation, and mechanical protection under seismic conditions.
The four-spring configuration provides a high load capacity while maintaining a low natural frequency, effectively reducing the transmission of vibration from the equipment to the supporting structure.
A Sylomer® layer complements the springs by reducing the transmission of mid- and high-frequency vibration that may propagate through the steel springs. The combination of springs + Sylomer® therefore extends the effective vibration isolation range.
The spring isolator also incorporates an integrated leveling system for precise equipment height adjustment and an anti-slip rubber base.
Under exceptional or seismic loads, the integrated seismic restraint system limits excessive equipment movement while allowing the movement required for effective vibration isolation under normal operating conditions.
The 4V-SR range is particularly suitable for HVAC equipment, refrigeration units, pumps, fans, compressors, generator sets, and other heavy mechanical equipment.
The mounts are able to reach low natural frequencies from 3 to 5 Hz. The spring combined with Sylomer® is able to provide high isolation at low-medium-high frequencies.
The curves are showing the deflection and natural frequencies according to the load of the spring. Working range temperature from -30°C to +70°C. Short term higher temperatures are possible.
