Compressors installed in public transport vehicles are subjected both to vibration generated by their own operation and to shock and acceleration transmitted by the vehicle during service.
A correctly designed elastic mounting system decouples the compressor from the vehicle structure, reduces vibration transmission and limits the dynamic loads acting on the equipment and its mounting points.
The mounting system must therefore provide an appropriate balance between vibration isolation, movement control and resistance to dynamic loads encountered during vehicle operation.

Anti-vibration mounts are installed between the compressor and the vehicle structure to provide an elastic connection that reduces vibration transmission whilst controlling movement caused by vehicle shock and acceleration.
Mount selection depends on factors including compressor mass, load distribution, excitation frequencies, expected acceleration levels and mounting configuration.
AMC MECANOCAUCHO offers a range of solutions for this application, including CB, FZ + Sylomer®, Bobbins, TFS, BRT, DRD and Wire Rope, allowing the dynamic behaviour of the mounting system to be matched to the requirements of each installation.
