The AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® FZM wire mesh mounts use a stainless steel wire mesh elastic element, specifically designed for environments where conventional elastomers are not suitable. They can operate at temperatures up to 300 °C and provide excellent resistance to severe environmental conditions.
Their design provides similar stiffness characteristics in compression and tension, resulting in relatively symmetrical behaviour when the equipment is subjected to alternating vertical movements. This characteristic is particularly beneficial for mobile and on-board applications exposed simultaneously to vibration, shock and acceleration.
The wire mesh also provides mechanical damping through internal friction, dissipating part of the vibrational energy and controlling equipment oscillations. The design incorporates an integrated mechanical fail-safe feature capable of withstanding tensile loads and ensuring equipment retention.
FZM mounts are particularly suitable for on-board equipment, mobile machinery and industrial installations exposed to high temperatures or severe operating conditions.

The cast aluminum bell has been designed to withstand to great dynamic shocks while the stainless steel wire fits tight to avoid relative displacements.
The stainless steel wire mesh and the aluminum top cap provide a higher resistance to marine corrosive environments, improving the performance of traditional marine antivibration mounts. The failsafe device limits the vertical ascendant movement. The damping properties of the stainless steel wire mesh allows low amplification to resonance allowing stable suspended elements.
