MD Captive Mounts

High-damping captive mounts designed to combine vibration isolation, stability and movement control.

The AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® MD captive mounts have a similar design to the BSB and BRB ranges. Their main distinguishing feature is the use of a high internal damping synthetic elastomer compound.

This formulation enables the mounts to effectively dissipate vibrational energy and reduce movement amplitudes, particularly during transient conditions and when passing through resonance frequencies. MD mounts therefore provide an excellent balance of vibration isolation, damping and equipment stability.

Thanks to their ability to control oscillations, they are particularly suitable for engines, generator sets, pumps, compressors, and mobile or stationary machinery subjected to dynamic loads and requiring a stable, highly damped suspension.

Technical characteristics

The top metal cap protects the rubber section from possible deisel , oil splashes.
It has an electrolytic coating that protects the metal parts against corrosion.
The mounts have an interlocking metal component that provides fail-safe protection for mobile applications. This device limits vertical movement when the mounts are subjected to shock loads in transit .

Operation and Assembly

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR HOOD MOUNTS

The hood mounts should be be installed between two parallel and perfectly flat surfaces. Mounts operating tilted or twisted do not work properly. This may be due to incorrect alignment, tolerances in the building of the chassis or over-tightened torque during the installation of the Antivibration mounts.
