Wire Rope Mounts
Stainless steel wire rope mounts designed for vibration isolation and shock absorption in mobile applications and harsh environments.
AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® Wire Rope Mounts consist of a stainless steel wire rope combined with aluminium mounting elements, providing excellent resistance to corrosion and harsh environmental conditions.
Their design allows large deflections in all directions, combined with high damping, making them particularly suitable for shock absorption and reducing dynamic loads transmitted to equipment.
Unlike conventional elastomeric mounts, Wire Rope Isolators can accommodate large movements and high-amplitude shocks while maintaining their suspension and vibration isolation functions.
They are particularly suitable for mobile applications, on-board equipment, transport systems and industrial equipment subjected to vibrations, repeated shocks or harsh environmental conditions.
Technical characteristics
AMC-MECANOCAUCHO® Wire Rope Mounts, due to their low stiffness, are specially suitable for applications where small static loads are involved and high isolation level is required.
Moreover, these mounts assure the stability of the suspended equipment by limiting the deflection that can be achieved, both in compression and tension, as well as in radial direction. These features make Wire Rope Mounts suitable to be subject to shock inputs.
The materials in which these mounts are made protect the Wire Rope Mounts against aging and corrosion.
